WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?

We treat our patients in the way we believe they deserve, with understanding and compassion, dignity and respect, while applying both the art and science of medicine.

Elizabeth Street Medical Centre (Acacia Ridge)- a General Practice, established over 40 years ago, prides itself in being a centre of excellence. The dedicated team focus on thorough holistic patient-centred care for all ages, from newborns, family medicine & women’s health, through to chronic disease management, aged care and home visits.

Although we endeavour to keep to schedule, time-keeping is not our top priority, providing excellent health care is. We do not rush patients in and out, we pride ourselves on our thorough approach to patient care and getting to the bottom of all medical issues, which can take time.

Our GPs have significant experience and expertise in their special interest area and thus deliver a higher than usual standard of care in that field. However, if patients come in for one problem, but there are obviously others, we won’t ignore them… we open our eyes to the whole patient, not just the part that is presented. Sometimes this holistic approach does not fit into the appointment time schedule and GPs may end up running late. We can only apologize for when this happens, but hopefully patients can understand how worthwhile this holistic approach is.   

MIXED BILLING - FURTHER INFORMATION

All doctors will move to mixed billing as of 1st May 2023. The billing details (updated as of 01/01/2024) are as follows:

Standard Consultations will be $70 (Medicare rebate $41.40) Out of Pocket $28.60

Long Consultations will be $110 (Medicare rebate $80.10) Out of Pocket $29.90

Phone Consultations will be $70 (Medicare rebate $41.40) Out of Pocket $28.60

Out of Hours (Standard) will be $85 (Medicare rebate $53.90) Out of Pocket $31.10

Out of Hours (Long) will be $125(Medicare rebate $92.45) Out of Pocket $32.55

Fees are payable upon completion of your consultation.

We accept cash, credit and debit cards. Please bring your physical debit card with you if you would like us to process the Medicare Rebate instantly. 

Please note that concession card holders and children 16 and under will continue to be bulk billed.

In addition the following services will also continue to be bulk billed for all patients: care plans, care plan reviews, mental health care plans, mental health care plan reviews, health assessment and skin excisions.
