Credentialled Diabetes Educator, RN, Grad Cert Critical Care, Grad Cert Diabetes Education & Management (See Balancing Diabetes)

 

Sarah completed general nursing training at the Mater Hospital in 1987, then worked both interstate and in Canada for many years. After completing her Graduate Certificate in Critical Care and 12 years working in Intensive Care Units, Sarah switched to general practice in January 2009 and completed her Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education and Management. Personal experience promotes her insight, understanding and passion for diabetes self-management education, with a focus towards promoting healthy active lifestyles to help patients either prevent or manage chronic disease. See “Diabetes Care” tab for full scope of practice, from nutrition advice to insulin pump management and guidance juggling insulin/ food/ blood glucose levels with sport.

 

Sarah also enjoys family time and actively participating in a variety of sports, especially cycling, jet skiing, wake-boarding, kayaking and snow-boarding. Sarah works four days a week including Tuesday evenings. Her enthusiasm and passion to help people get the most out of their lives through good health is unparalleled.

 

Our Credentialled Diabetes Educator accepts referrals from other GPs (external to the centre) or you may self-refer for full diabetes management.

Lepa Arsenieva

BBehsC (Hons Psych) MClinical Psych, MAPS- Psychologist

 

Lepa is a Clinical Psychologist with over 13 years of experience in providing quality, compassionate and confidential psychology services to young people and adults experiencing a wide range of personal and mental health issues. Lepa creates a welcoming, accepting and non-judgmental environment for clients to explore and deal with their issues, learn new practical skills and strategies towards change, achieve their goals, grow and feel good! She is available for appointments at Elizabeth Street Medical Centre on Thursdays and Fridays and her sessions are usually 50 minutes in duration.

 

Lepa’s speciality areas include Depressive Disorders, Grief and Loss, Anxiety Disorders including Phobias, Panic Disorder, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Chronic Pain and Stress Management, Relationship and Family Issues and Work/Life Imbalance. She is fluent in Bosnian, Croatian, Macedonian and Serbian.

 

Lepa is very passionate about spirituality and she is currently developing a spiritual approach to therapy - Spiritual Psychology - for those who are interested. Her hobbies include reading and studying spiritual traditions from around the world, walking, listening to music and meditation.
